The Alaskan Malamute - The Malamute is one of the oldest Arctic sled dogs. It is a powerful built dog with a deep chest and strong body. They weigh betwen 74-85 pounds. Their coat is thick with a coarse coat of sufficient length to protect a woolly undercoat. Malamutes can be black and white, gray and white, sable and white, red and white, pure white and silver. Their faces are framed in an overhead cap and their faces are either all white or marked with a bar or mask.Malamutes have brown eyes. The tail is carried over the back.

The Siberian Husky - The Siberian Husky is the smallest of the working breeds. They weigh between 35 - 60 pounds. Siberian Huskies come in a variety of colors and eye color. They can take the toughest climate and they love the cold and snow. These dogs are built for speed and endurance and have compact bodies with a deep chest and strong legs. They excel in pulling heavy loads over long distances.Siberian Huskies can have blue, brown, green or two different colored eyes. Their tails are not carried over their backs like a Malamute.

Both Huskies and Malamutes are gentle dogs who are great with kids and love the outdoors. They live to work!
